it officially supports DDR4-2666Mhz. many people run DDR4-3000Mhz. i believe only few people can get it to run DDR4-3200Mhz. there are benchmarks on Zen 2 based processors with different memory speed. the difference between 3000Mhz and 3200Mhz is 1-2% in gaming. so for your case, maybe we are looking at at-most 5% diff between 2400Mhz and 3000Mhz.

Hello! I purchased some T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 3200gb (2x8gb) ram and I have noticed it is not running at its designated speed or using its full capacity. The ram is being detected on both channels as seen in the CPU-Z screenshots, but it is running at 2400mhz. 8gb is also hardware reserved as seen in the task manager screenshot.

Make sure your timings and voltages match up, my Ripjaws didn't have the right timings when I put them in, so the computer kept saying overclocking failed. Go into the BIOS and set the speed to 2400. I think I tried that and it didn't want to boot. There's a chance the RAM is defective, may have to RMA it.
