I've had the car (2010 diesel auto KX3) for about 3 years and never had the need for the diff lock but the wheels started spinning on a leaf-covered hill so I stopped, pressed the diff-lock button and tried again. Front wheels still span and the 4wd fault light came on.

You hit a button somewhere on the dash or on the gearshift. Look at the manual for that light on the dash and how to put the car in 4wd (I think it's on the gear shift) 1 people found this helpful.
